At the southern end of the Ria Formosa National Park at Olhão in Portugal the coastal park dissolves in a buffer zone. A hinterland between industrial, residential and the managed wilderness of the salt marshes. Deeper into the park and the salt pans reveal a abstract microscopic landscape of chaotic patterns and crystalline growth.
